What makes us human? How do we want to live together?
These are two fundamental questions that have challenged artists, philosophers, and scientists throughout history. Today, in an age shaped by artificial intelligence and growing political uncertainty, these questions demand new answers and fresh perspectives.
David Schweinfurth is a multimedia artist with a background in natural sciences, philosophy, and politics. His artistic practice explores the different dimensions of human creativity, ranging from the use of code and algorithms to spontaneous and improvised gestures. By combining these approaches, he reflects on the tension and interplay between structure and intuition.
His work engages multiple senses, extending beyond sight and sound to include touch. This tactile dimension makes his art more accessible and inclusive, inviting broader audiences to connect with it on a physical level.
A key aspect of his practice is co-creation. Through participatory formats, he invites people of all ages to become active contributors in the creative process. This shared act of making serves as a starting point for dialogue—about art, about technology, and about how we relate to one another in an increasingly complex world.
