Storylines
Reimagining the classic cycle of scientific research based on modeling-simulation-experiment-analysis, Storylines explores the sense of proprioception to show the inherent. Gestures reveal what was there from the beginning and detect subtle manipulations that are more tangible than visible. This work is part of a broader discourse on signs and their meaning. Combining traditional media and today’s technology it seeks to reconcile science and art, machine and body, computation and intuition.
Identity
Identity is the quest for uniqueness in a world of mass production and scale. Touch by contrast, is a direct link to the personal because it transforms what it encounters. In gestures that seem forceful or even violent, a kind of fragility can appear; one that calls for tenderness and care. This work is part of a broader discourse on signs and their meaning, offering an augmented perspective that places both sight and touch on equal footing.
